btwn the 2, roddick wld be my choice.
it's boring to see federer forever dominating the men's tennis.
plus roddick improves a lot and deserves a major title.
but i wld still wanna see a full-on safin's comeback.
he's been plagued by injuries for far too long.
if not, i'm also hoping for a gasquet's win.

I wanted Roddick to win for the same reasons you did. Federer is a classy guy and really really good but for some reason I think Andy deserved it more this time...he came back and finished out the year strong after having a very dissapointing one in the beginning.
Go Andy! I still love you.

Since Federer is not playing any tournaments for preparation, we don't know his current form. He should be well rested though and I am sure he can make the semis at least. Djokovic is looking in great form and the Australian Open plexicushion surface suits him the most. The courts are slowing down each year, which doesn't help the slightest. I predict a Federer-Djokovic meeting in the final and hopefully Roger can win his 18th Slam. Roger's chances boil down to three things - -The speed of the courts -Whether he is refreshed after looking burnt out at the end of the season -How short he can keep the points

Roger Federer. To Andy Roddick's credit, it's great to see that he's back playing at championship level again. With Jimmy Connors on his side, hopefully he'll win some more Slams.

Federer is a sure winner, but in the back of my mind, this A-Rod is, with his groove back is very spectular in every match he won. I've been a Roddick fan for quite sometime now even he ranked 12th in the mid-season, and I want him to win the US slam for the reason that the US Open title would seal his resurgence and make pro tennis a non-federer league.

If time could turn back to a few days ago, then I would like Safin to beat Haas, and then have another 5-set epic win against Federer. Finally Safin would beat Roddick or whoever in the final....
SIGH!! Hope you do better next time Marat!!
