Not to be mean, but...
It's the libraries. Those Public Libraries now have so many computers *and also* so many idiot kids strung out on Ritalin *and also* every panhandler in town waking up from their nap time that the combination....oh man....it makes my brain hurt thinking about it.
Point is, we couldn't *make* the internet any more stupid if we actually walked *UP TO* the Stupid People, led them by the hand to the computer, showed them what a mouse and keyboard *do* and just told them "go crazy--ok, not that crazy, no nudie images, but otherwise *do what you want*, ok?"
And well, these days one could argue some Librarians do just that. :p
(and all these paid-for trolls on the Yahoo Payroll don't help much either, you know?)

I am sorry. I accidentally let them out of their cages. I tried to put them back in, but they ran away and made it to their computers. I will be careful next time.
