All hurricanes were named after women until the women complained about it. Now every other hurricane is named for a man. I think they call them Himmucanes.....

They aren't always named after women. I believe they alternate between men and women. Here in south florida we got hit very badly by a hurricane called Andrew.

Ohhhhh.....they are both male and female. Alphabetical, and maybe some names can be either male or female, but they or either or. Maybe US Females named Huricaines are stronger and remembered, but there are many men named Hurricaines that have done their share, now!
After running out of names, as last year, they start with the Alpha names.

In the past that was true but that is no longer true. Today hurricanes use both male and female names.
