your both of an adult age and should be able to speak up and say that you are in love and live happily every after. however, i can see this is a cultural problem and i know how difficult it would be for both of you as i have many friends who have been through this.
other then talking to your families about this, you can either do what makes you both happy or do what your families want.
i would go with my heart and hopefully your families will eventually come to terms with the love you have for each other and accept you both and be happy for you too.
good luck.

You're both 25. You don't have to marry who your parents pick for you. It just depends on whether you prefer the family drama you'd cause by refusing to go along with your parents wishes, or if you'd prefer losing this girl. Of course, since it's recent love it might not work out either, and possibly on or both of you are on the rebound from the earlier engagements. Since your parents apparently haven't found matches yet, why not keep dating her. Then when the time comes, you'll have a better idea whether you're willing to go against your families to be together. And if, by the time your parents do find a fiancee for you, you decide you don't like your cousin's daughter, then you have a good excuse to dump her: "Sorry, hon, I just can't break my poor mother's heart."

This may be a rebound love, so cool it for a while until you get to know each other better and see if the love lasts and grows stronger.
You may wish to check out the laws in your state regarding close intermarriage. You share half of the genes that a first cousin does.
There may be a risk of too-close inbreeding.

Get married if you are already thinking about it or at least give the relationship a try. If your families love you (which is obvious from the fact they are trying to look for people to make you happy) even if they have a hard time accepting the fact that you love each other at first, they will understand and support your decision.
Good luck! My friend married her cousin so Im all for it!

So the lady you are in love with is really your second cousin. Not a good idea because all kinds of problems can arise in any chidren of such a relationship. Some work out, some don't. If you are really that much in love, then go for it, but be warned.

Now usually I think marrying even your fifth or sixth cousin is a bit strange. But it sounds as if you two are mature adults and know what you are getting into. If you love each other then go for it. Don't let other people interfere with your happiness.

Doesn't that make her your 2nd cousin? This might not go very well.
