That's the point many of us here in the US have been trying to tell Bush and his followers all along.

Well...first of all....US should have tried to bring these terrorists on their side...through influence...money...etc....and then if it doesn't work....put them out of misery. Terrorism is a mental disease and people who are affected by this disease are afraid of peace.
I would also like to add...that currently...US is more or less targetting innocent civilians as it is becoming hard for them to fight terrorists on the ground.
