This morning I saw one of my late partner's relatives. She crossed the street and began lecturing me on my "disgusting lesbian lifestyle".
I was away when Gwenneth died and the family buried her with a headstone bearing "UNKNOWN TO GOD", When I first saw this I nearly used a lethal blow on one of them. Months later I had a severe break down, Now they are starting again. How do I stop this behaviour?

I was getting over my illness. I will try to avoid them if possible. The thing I cling to is an illustration my brother showed me of a WW1 French cemetary. Nearly all the stones bore 'A Soldier of the Great War/ Known Unto God" My brother also said "Gwen was your soldier, gone before Keep her in your heart.
I'm sorry I could not finish this earlier, got thr shakes so badly.

That is a horrible way to treat another human being.
I am not gay, but I abhor that kind of treatment for anyone.
I hope that you heal soon keep up with any support system that you have and, believe when I say that even if you have no Christian faith, just rely on mine, I will say a prayer for you anyway.
No obligation, only believe that I believe.

Very sorry for your situation. You'll have to avoid them completely for awhile. While everyone may not agree with your lifestyle you are a thinking, feeling human being and deserve respect. Don't let bitterness control your life or you will be miserable. Forgive yourself and them and ask God what you should do in this painful time.

Ignore them...their behaviour says way more about them than you....just maintain your dignity and tell them to get over it and walk away..I don't think you'd have to do that too many times. best of luck..you deserve better.
you MUST realize that they do this because they know they can...don't let them.

Turn and walk away when you see them. They are hopeless homophobes. Don't waste your time on them. If they continue this behavior, you can swear out an order of protection because of their harrassment.

How horrible of them! Know peace in your heart, and don't let it get to you. The face of society IS changing, but it's slow. There are many people out her that love unconditionally.
Try to surround yourself with good people.

Restraining orders and Pepper Spray come to mind. You simply don't have to put up with that.
