Yeah and the b**** was a penny-pincher. I finally had enough and left the tooth fairy a note when I was 8yrs. old that read, " Dear Tooth Fairy, I wrote Santa Claus and asked him for the money instead. I prefer money that folds, not jingles. Thanks anyway, cheap skate! Love Always, xoxoxoxo "

Yeah, I got .50 cents for a frontish tooth and a dollar for back teeth that were difficult to get out. This, of course, was in the early 80's so you have to account for some inflation if you are giving money now-a-days. My husband is from England and he said that his parents never did "the tooth fairy" with him and he didn't get anything when his tooth feel out and said it was a capitalist thing, etc. He kept them all in a box and still has them all to this day!

Yes, but my parents knew I was too light a sleeper to put them under my pillow, so I left them in a glass beside my bed. I had a tooth split when it came out once, I wrote a note to the tooth fairy and she wroe back (in my dads handwriting)

Never left them for the tooth fairy. We had diffrent "believe" in Germany. I left my tooth infront of my window, together with a cube of sugar and I made a wish. It was supposed to come true. Never did. Was asking for my mum having another baby. Maybe I should have left it for the tooth fairy, hey.
Sorry forgot to add, that a stork would come up... the one who delivers the Babies :) and he would made the dreams come true. Silly I know.

Used to.
But I used to find the tooth around my house the next day.....it wasn't long after that when I found out the truth myself, I was like 5 or 6.

Yeah, always found a coin instead when I wake up, but never saw the fairy. To be honest it took me a long time to realise it wasn't true.
