Everyone knows sex is an important part of life, and everyone feels performance anxiety. Girls have all been told that it will hurt (and it does), so of course they will be anxious. A first time doing anything is an almost certain cause of nerves. First job, first kiss, first date, first time traveling out of the country, first time living alone, first time on a roller coaster, whatever- new situations mean you're going into the unknown, and that's always a little frightening.

jasmine I think people are so nervous the first time having sex because they maybe shy of the other sex seeing them or they may be shy of not knowing what to do or how to do it or they may think the other person may have a lot of experience and in reality they really dont...they have so many things going through their mind such as will it hurt, they cant help but be nervous and shy ...and am i going to get caught by my parents what will they think will they think less of me...many many things to be nervous about...will i get pregnant or get a disease...even if i am careful..and will he still love or care about me...all reasons to be nervous....good question jasmine

cos its the first time having sex! for a guy, he fears being judged on his parts. theres the whole pressure to perfom. for a girl, she is scared that it will hurt. she is just unsure how it will feel. both parties dont exactly know how to get from A to B. there is no instruction manual. we learn through experience.

because they want it to be good and they don't know what to expect I truly think people are not usually good the first time its only when you learn each others bodies and turn on's that you are good

They don't know what to do, how they look, whether it's safe, whether they'll perform, etc.
