The owner should at least acknowledge it and/or offer some kind of...something! If your hair has some bad damage then yes, I would look into suing him. It all depends on how this incident happened, too!

You can sue for almost anything. So, yes, you can sue. The question is, how did your hair catch on fire? Was it your fault? Was it some other patron over which the club had no control? Or was it something the club should have foreseen and didn't? You might be able to get a lawyer to handle the case on a contingency basis. Otherwise, it might cost you more for the lawsuit than you would get for damages.

Yes, probably.

Most areas have legislation that makes owners liable for foreseeable injuries. They would probably have to have messed up in some way though.

So you can probably sue.

Find a lawyer in your area, who you can tell the whole story to. They will be in a better position to tell you about your chances of success.

What did you expect them to do? Why did you allow yourself to be in a situation where your hair caught fire?

Sounds to me you're just looking to make a quick buck. By the time you paid an attorney and court costs, you'd be paying instead of receiving.

Lesson learned here: Don't allow your hair to catch fire.

That would be a good idea as long as you have proof that him or his club was responsible. Someone holding a cigarette or lighter a certain way and you bend down and your hair goes up in smoke does not make the owner responsible.

You related to Richard Pryor?

How did it catch fire, your fault, someone else's or the night club? Was the owner there. What did you expect the owner to do?

What are you suing for?? Did you get hurt? If not, you don't really have a case and you would be paying a lawyer a high retainer fee for something you won't win anyway. If you got hurt, that's another matter.
