I agree...however, providing an explanation may assist the student in understanding the principle (multiple, well thought answers will help). I have to say that I have seen so many bad answers posted that will require good judgment as of which answer the student will take forward to school the next day. One thing to keep in mind...none of us will be with the student during test, quiz time...for those student cutting corners, the F is moving their way.

What a bunch of hoooey.

Back in your day, (my day), we waited until Sunday night to do the homework. Then we would get stuck. So we would ask our parents. Those guys, apparently, had never gone to school, cause they just said, read it again.

So, we would go to school, and meet with our friends, and copy each others answers.

Now, with answers, the person has to read about a billion really stupid responses to get the right answer. And even then, hopefully, they will use the answer as a start.

It does beg the question, however, if you do not like seeing the questions, why are you even bothering with these questions?

(Incidentally, back when I was in school, we used the brain, held within the cranium. The cranium is merely the boney structure to hold that item with the brain. Apparently, the people who ask the questions have enough cells within their cranium to look for answers.)

No, I object to them every day.

I don't mind helping, but I really dislike when kids just post their homework sheets. You know they will all fail because people do their work for them. And the parents and teacher will be mystified. The student hands in all of their homework but can't figure out how to do a simple problem on a test.

Not good at all, No student left behind will become Only Yahoo users left behind.

Back in the day... parents were home more often and able to help their kids study. Homework was also more important than sports and activities at one point and kids didn't have to be up until midnight doing homework on their computers every night.

Give them a break and help them out.

I think this is a great place for kids to have a survey forum, to pick up ideas (like, what are some good books to choose from for a book report), or re-check understanding of something (like, how do you cross multiply, or what is a prepositional phrase), but it TICKS me off when they're asking questions like:

What is the capital of Iowa?

For goodness sake, "google" is a VERB to these children. USE it. Grrr.

Nope I don't think anything of it because there is a section for those questions to be posted. I think its cool kids can use the computer ask questions do their book work and get the help they need to find the answer.

haha, annoyed but not surprised... It would be one thing if they were honestly asking for help about a specific concept, but most do just copy/paste questions. lol, they're even too lazy to look the answers up on google, they just sit back and wait to be spoonfed the information. I'd like to be there when test grades come back...

I think it is at least a sign they are doing their homework. Maybe dicussing it with us will help them learn and keep them interested.

just answer them normally, but add in a few errors here and there that aren't obvious to the eye.
