I agree with you 100% - but I'm against it more than you. I am against it in ALL reasons. I myself was raped at 19 and ended up with a BEAUTIFUL baby girl who is now 2. As mentioned before by someone else, they feared that if a lady was raped then the baby would remind her constantly - that's not true. I feared the same thing, I couldn't be happy through the pregnancy. But now, I don't think about how I came to be pregnant with her. I don't think Rape is an excuse - it's still half the mom's DNA.
Then, as far as the mother's life being in jeapordy because of the pregnancy - says who? Doctors everyday give people an amount of time "left" and everyday, they make a mistake and are wrong. If it's your time to die, you're going to die, whether you have that baby or something else happens. You can never cheat death if it's REALLY your time to leave this earth. Why kill an innocent life, if you know that if it's your time to go, you're still going to go. Why not let one life live - and take the possibility of having two lives live - for many years, plus have a new kind of happiness and love.
These are just my opinions - everyone is entitled to their own opinions. This is a VERY strong heart-felt topic for me.

You can't understand. I'm sorry to say... Men have so many choices once they knock a girl up. They can go away and come back when they please, they can stay away forever THEY are the ones that can stop a girl from putting her baby up for adoption. They can stay from the beginning and help. But a woman she has so few options. She can either take care of baby and live with that the rest of her life, she can put the baby up for adoption and live with that seperation for the rest of her life (plus have everyone judging her for having a baby she doesn't take care of) or she can have an abortion and live with that pain for the rest of her life. In some situations no choice is a good choice... Sometimes all the options suck. Abortion isn't pretty. But if they put those limitations on them thounsands of girls and fetus' will die from illegal "back alley" abortions.

Almost 500 American doctors so far have signed a statement saying abortion is never necessary to save the life of a mother and may actually increase the risk of death if she has health problems. See:
Is Abortion Ever Necessary to Save the Life of the Mother?

In the case of rape, the unborn child is innocent and does not deserve to die for the crime of his or her father. Furthermore, abortion only increases the grief and trauma of a girl who has been raped. See:

I think abortion is never right in any circumstances because a baby never asks to be born and it's a innocent child if a woman gets raped I am sorry for that but still it isn't the baby's fault it's not like the baby had control over it the best thing for a woman to do if she gets raped is adopt the baby out give it a chance to live and have a life if a woman that's been raped doesn't want to be reminded of the rape that's fine but still it isn't a excuse to aboard the baby because you can have it and adopt it out and still not be reminded of it so why take it's life??? That makes no sense to me what so ever I think ANYONE who would get raped and not even consider to have it and adopt it out is taking it out on the baby like they would like to do to their rapist well women who get raped needs to blame it on the rapist not blame it on a innocent baby

Do you know what "opted" means - it means to choose, ergo your question means that you think abortion SHOULD be chosen except if the mother is in danger. I don't think you meant that.
As to "how would you like it if you had gotten aborted" - how would we ever know??
Now that that is out of the way, I believe in a woman's right to choose - regardless of any and all circumstances. It is her body.

Abortion to me is only acceptable if you are a rape victium, or there is an major medical issue that would cause the life of death for the mother or unborn baby. Abortion should not be used as birth control.... If you can't take care of the kid, don't be selfish and let it live a life on welfare and trouble, put it up for adoption with a better suited family.

Personally, I don't agree. I don't think that it's a individual life, until it is capable of living outside the uterus (26-28 week mark). Until then, it's just a collection of cells that might or might not become a baby. Lots of things can happen, miscarriage, etc, but a miscarriage is nearly impossible after the 26-28 week mark. Anyways, that's just my opinion. Just because you don't believe that abortion is OK, doesn't mean that you have to outlaw it for the rest of us. If you don't agree, you don't have to participate or support it, though.

It is 100% a womans choice and right to abort.
I found out at 20 weeks I was pregnant after having a doctor do numerous tests and tell me I was not.
I aborted and do not feel bad for doing so.
The father knew and told me either way he would support me.

Abortion is killing, its ending the life of a living human being before it ever had the chance to be born.If we do not protect the weak and defenseless amongst us there will be no morality anymore.Abortion is never ok.We are becoming a society which has no respect for the elderly, the sick, the unborn and the handicapped. We are willing to kill anyone whom is not fully functional, anyone too old,too brain dead etc.It is totally wrong, and I often wonder when this world will wake up to the terrors of it all.
