i used to be a horrible procrostinator too, trust me! And then this year, i started doing homework right after school. Occasionaly if i end up doing something and can't do my homework right away- i put it off to the side-but make sure to get it done!
Remember your homework is your top priority:: to be whatever you dream to be;; comes an education;; im sure youve heard that before;; but, its the truth. Just do your homework right after school. If its a big essay or something-start on it, or put it aside for a day.
Example:: Say you have an essay due a week from today. Start the day it is given, and build up on it each day, until it is due.
If you want to hang out with your friends, get some done after or before you hang out with them, or before your sport, dance,or whatever hobbies you have.
Procrostanation is a disease...but luckily, time and patience and effort it can be cured!!
Good luck!!. Remember stay on top of homework ALWAYS! [it will get you places,im serious]

it's will power, baby girl. you just have to decide if you want to be a success or a failure? Yes those decisions are made pretty early.
set some rules for yourself....such as starting home work maybe an hour after you leave school. give yourself a couple of short breaks, but don't quit 'til your done. Make sure you find a quiet space...if you don't have one at home go to the library. Most people have a least one subject that is difficult for them, you may want to tackle that last, and do not be shy about asking for help. if you have a study hall, use that time to organize your thoughts,
and tackle the easy stuff. Only you can decide if you really want to be a good student, and set your goals...good luck Ms. Future somebody.

From experience - as long as this method works for you, and you still pass and pleased with your work - you're going to keep doing it.
You can give yourself little rewards and earlier goals, you can schedule special times in your calendar for doing specific assignments etc - and see if that helps - but in the end, if you get just as much satisfaction from getting it done at the last minute, than getting it done earlier, you are probably not going to get over it :)
That's life though - a lot of people work better under pressure.

Discipline is what you need.
This worked for me, make it a habit to finish your homework in the library before you get home THAT SAME DAY YOU GET THE HOMEWORK, in that way, the place is more conducive for you to finish them all, with less distractions from noise and chums, and reward yourself a relaxation after you finished them and you get home. There's nothing better to think about than relaxation if you finished them right at school, then you don't have to bring them home again and open the books a home when you can already watch the tv or whatever you want to do.

Do it when you get home from school. After you get a snack or lunch (cant think on an empty stomach) get started on your homework.
Buy a dry erase board for your room and jot down what projects, papers to write etc. you have coming up and give yourself deadlines. Reward yourself when you complete a task. You don't want to feel depressed cause your are behind in your work.

Make a promise to yourself that you have to get your homework done before you can get on the computer, watch TV, or talk on the phone. Then, make sure you keep that promise! Remember, you are never to break a promise! I hope this helps.

alexx, you need to set some time aside every day just for your home work i know it can be a drag but you got to remind yourself everyday that while its a drag now it will pay off big time in the future. when you got your good job, nice car ect and your other fellow prograsdnaters are bumming rides and cant even afford a movie ticket, you will be happy you did your homework!

Just as you have made procrastination a HABIT, you can make it a HABIT not to procrastinate. All you have to do is start not procrastinating tomorrow, then the next day, and the next day, and before you know it, it is a HABIT not to procrastinate! All you have to do is start a "reverse" HABIT.

Get off this site for a start.
Just do it. Don't worry about anything else. Just pick up a book and start reading and soon enough you'll be into it.
Eliminate all distractions.
Now really, get off this site and do some work!!!!!
