I tried to clean while I cook because the worst thing is to eat a great meal and be in food coma and then have to worry about cleaning up all the mess. Sometimes you can just wait until morning but who wants to see dirty dishes in the morning. The best is to try to the most you can while you are cooking. And I have also found that if you are cooking for other people then the people who don't cook the dinner have to clean up! That's always the best!

Most of the time I clean after I cook unless I am cooking a lot of different things and don't want the kitchen piled up. Or, while something is cooking I'll start loading the dishwasher.
