I hope you are being sarcastic.
If you are (sarcastic that is) you'll love this, walmart collapsed in Germany due to labor violations and competition with ALDiS, in China they failed due to Union violations.
China the human rights violators.
The thing is for all the little towns where wally world is selling things cheaper than they buy them, there is a small town where wally world is the only game in town. They pay the difference to support the bankrupting of small town stores.

I always go to OSH over Home Depot, the hard part is watching the little guys struggle, when the big guys come in all strong.
OSH has been hangin on for 5 years.
Super Walmart came in and closed down 2 grocery stores.

No. After they have ran the local businesses out, they raise their prices. Now since they are the only ones in town, they can do that due to supply and demand.

actually no i don't think they're better. the smaller stores give you so much better customer service as they've grown up in the community, they know everyone, and appreciate your business as that's what keeps them going. bigger corporations don't care one way or the other if you shop at their stores or not, they're not going anywhere so who cares if they're nice to you or not. and most of the time they're not nice at all as they don't care about the community or the people in it. they just want the business, they could care less. all in all, i'd rather shop at small local stores anyday. they make you feel worthy and it makes you want to shop there just because of how they treat you.
