I to am a diabetic.. honey you need your meds changed or something.. Thats way to high. You can go into a diabetic coma if you are not careful.. Talk to your doctor asap.. you shouldn't be over 120 roughly right in there. Somethings definitely not working for you .. good luck!

Are you serious? What are you eating? Look, it's your body, but here's the deal. If you don't get your sugar down to consistent 100, you will go blind, have your feet amputated, and then things will go downhill from there.

Cut the sugar and carbohydrates and get more active. If you don't, read the above paragraph and stop buying socks, because you won't need 'em.

I am on Amaryl and Glucophage, and my numbers are pretty consistent with both blood-testing and A1C. The biggest things for me to kick were portion sizes and soda pop. I've learned to live with diet iced tea (I won't drink Diet COke or Diet Pepsi), and I've started riding my bike. It sucked, and now it's more fun.

Are you testing your blood a few times a day? It really helped me track things, and just reminded me how important this is. At first, it's easy to just forget you're diabetic. But use the blood-testing as a reminder, and like the people said before, look out for carbs.

Eat all of the carrots you want, and sweet red peppers too, instead of snack crackers or other hi-carb grains. Have a steak with salad instead of a potato. Diabetics can still eat really good food, just not the filler that accompanies it.

Had the same flipping problem. #1: You need to eat less carbs. That will bring your #'s down. Get a carb counter book and stay under 60 grams of carb per day. IF that doesn't bring it down enough, try to be below 30 carbs per day.

Secondly, maybe you're not on the right meds. I was on Amyril and Glucophage but doc changed it to Avandaryl (Avandia mixed with Amaryl) and continued the Glucophage. I've been a bit more careful with the carbs, too, so I'm doing a lot better!
