Because the value of a person has been twisted by the media into what they are worth to them as a commodity, not their value to their fellow man.

It's like this. Doctors could only perform their hard job and get paid by one person at a time, while the rich and the famous, or should I say, movie stars perform to and get paid from a lot of people at the same one time

Because of the high malpractice insurance that they have to buy each year, overhead costs for office/clinic, salary for nurses (RNs in high cost states make 70k-90k easy), and what your left with divided by the enormous # of hours that you spend working, receiving clients/calls at ridiculous times of the day.

A doctor typically makes s--- especially during residency, and its usually many years later as experience/expertise grows, that a doctor is able to make mad money, and yes, many are part of your "rich and famous" group.

well education wise, doctors is one of the hardest. 4 yrs of college, 4 yars of medical school 3-7 years of residency and then your a real doctor. I think they should make more than $150,000 -$300,000. They deserve it. I mean look at how long they went to school. Peramedics, are like nurses aids, that is why they get paid $15 an hour, I mean you can have a ged and 2 yrs of college and be a paramedic. SHould they get paid more. How much knowledge are they storing. I think Doctors need to unionize and start getting $500,000 and up and we need to protect doctors from insurance companies. Did you know insurance companies are telling doctors how much they can charge for procedures, whats up with that, it should be the other way around.

Earn is the key word there. They actually WORK. Rich and famous let their money work for them, also, a lot of it is old money- someone al long time ago worked for it.

Who have you been talking to? Physicans earn between 100,000 and 250,000 a year, far better than most people. They are appropriately reimbursed for their work. If you want to talk about underpaid, check out the paramedics. We only earn between 10 and 15 dollars an hour on average, and we are literally on the front lines of medicine. We put ourselves in all sorts of dangerous and unknown situations on a daily basis, and perform procedures in the field, in poor lighting, in the rain, in the back of a bouncing ambulance, that most doctors get to do in a well lighted ER. Now that's underpaid!

Demand & Supply.

Plenty doctors but few "celebrities". I don't think doctor's
job is the hardest. Think of coal miners, poor farmers,
trishaw pullers, etc. etc to name a few.
