Anything you cannot do in front of your boyfriend or girlfriend is cheating. If you can have a conversation with a person online while your girlfriend / boyfriend is sitting next to you... then no... you're fine. If she or he will feel uncomfortable... then it's something you shouldn't be doing.

This sounds like the topic of a marital conflict. The answer depends on the content of the chat. If you're married and chatting with a woman in person or online and some obvious flirting is taking place, with or without talk about sex, or the tone of the chat seems too cozy and intimate to the wife who observes it...it's not cheating, but it's definitely something going in a troubling direction.

Yes if you are flirting with the other woman. If you talk like friends and just chat about innocent everyday things that you could talk about with your own mother, then no it isnt cheating. Think this way: if your GF catches you chatting with another woman, will you feel guilty and try to hide the fact that you have been talking to another woman? Will your GF/wife be upset/hurt?

If all you are doing it chatting. If there is no intention of meeting or having that kind of relationship--i would say this is not cheating

It is quite a lot like cheating to your wife. It does not have to be about a physical relationship for we women to freak out!. If you are having meaningful conversation with a female friend you are violating your wife's understanding of your relationship. In her eyes it should only be with her that you share your hopes, dreams, fears, insecurity etc. We also have the strong understanding of what other women are thinking of when they are developing this kind of "friendship" with our men. They usually are waiting for the man to make some kind of move after a while.

Not cheating per se, but it *is* an indication of serious problems in the relationship...otherwise you wouldn't be trying to find out if the grass might be a little greener on the other side of the internet!

No. Conversation, in my opinion, is great. I've met some of my best friends on the net. 99% of the people I talk to are men; and most of the names on my husband's list are women. I understand the trust issue, especially seeing how many "happily" married men are trolling the rooms for women on cam and vice versa.

No. But there is a thin line between chatting and flirting. And what was the conversation about? How close to her were you? This is not a simple yes or no question.

I don't think it's cheating unless they take it to a personal level, like wanting to meet or talking about sexual things. Talking like friends isn't bad. My husband talks to girls sometimes, but it's just as friends. I also talk to guys just as friends.

as long is in your own mind there seriously is NO intention at all. if you are lying to yourself saying there is no intention but deep down you know there is a little then you are cheating
