Of course they're sub-par! That's why they couldn't have beaten the GIANTS, who are a superior team, without the referees help!!!!!!!
GO GIANTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NFL ; FIRE those stinking cheating referees!!

Well, I am a Colts fan, I agree they seemed less than par vs the Giants for sure.
However, we can look at alot of the so called upper tier teams and they all seemed to be off alot this week.
But, keep in mind it is only week one!
Sure the Colts will get better the timing on offense will come together over the next few weeks. But, I always worry about our defense.

Tonight the only thing that stopped the Giants was the Giants LOL .. stupid penalty after stupid penalty, and one REAL bad call by the officials cost them the game against indy. If not for the penalties, the score might have been 42-26 in favor of the Giants, because that Colts Defense sure as heck didnt stop the Giants offense once, Tiki Barber and Brandon Jacobs left footprints clear up the indianapolis defenses backsides, That colts Deefense is SOFT omg! is it soft. You stop their Ends, from rushing the passer like the Giants did tonight and they are a pathetic Defensive team,,, at least tonight they were.... I think indy has a SERIOOUS problem..they cant run the ball AT ALL!! it was horrific watching them try.

if they were on there game... it wouldn't be a season opener. losing the edge really hurt the colts but i am not ready to call them sub par or try to blame the giants loss on the refs.. barber was looking tough.. it was great to see his potential. the colts are going to have to toughen up on d and work the run into their game.. most of all they need to become comfortable and not allow intimidation to allow them to run the wrong play. i have always been a colts and a bears fan equally. i will say they are not heading into the almost perfect season they had last year. should be interesting though.

I thought they would have done better as well. Indy's line play was terrible on both sides of the ball.. Peyton had heat on him all night and Indy's defense never really pressured Eli. I know they miss the "Edge" but with there line play last night I don't know if the "Edge" could have made a difference. One thing is for certain is that if Indy doesn't improve their line play then defenses are going too make it really difficult for them this year.

Your right. They will miss Edgerrin James big time. They have a terrible running game and Manning will have to carry the team. I dont' think they'll do well in the playoffs but they will make them.
