I really don't understand men's psycology. We have a lot of family friends and relatives. Whenever the menfolk get together along with their spouses, they speak about other girls, their figure, looks etc and keep ga ga over other girls they happened to see at the shopping malls/office etc. I note this as a common feature in men. Else their favorite topic in front women are cars, latest models etc (which their spouses are vaguely interested about). In both the topics, I feel irritated as they are not my grounds of interest. How do I deal with such men when they start speaking with each other about women/girls when I am present? Women must be understanding my question clearly. Men too can answer but serious answers only. Let me also add, when the above two topics come, only men seem to be united in the talk with beam in their eyes.

What planet did you come from that you have not heard that 'MEN ARE CHAUVINIST PIGS1"

Well, you can say the same thing about women too. I don't talk about make up, fashion, and romance all day. Men just have common interest, just like women. TV, Magazines, and other avenues exploit it so that we remain that way. It's natural and think about it, if you had a guy that talked about women things all the time, wouldn't you be kind of turned off? Sometime when a woman can participate in our conversations, it kinda makes them a little more attractive. Hint, Hint.

It is not as much as a direct offense it is against you as it is against his looser friends. Listen, guys boast because they want to be "the sh*t" or "the cool guy". In all honesty, he probably likes/loves you a lot. BUT, men look at women just like women look at men. I mean what...you would love to boast about being in the grocery store with Brad Pitt or some other dude that is probably gay. BUT (no offense directed) men boast to be superior. And that, from a geneological perspective, is pretty good. If you don't believe me, what did he get you for your B-day, Christmas, or um... some random occasion? If you still think I'm full of it, ask him at your house... some forgotten Saturday in your/his room. Seriously, guys boast. Its what we do.

men are men and women or women. You can do two things. First you can tell them how you feel when things come up. Tell them you do not like them talking about this and they should stop if they respect you. The other is what you are doing now and leaving it alone. You must remember that guys are only guys and that is the way we are. Talking will not harm anything, would you rather him cheat.

because we can talk a good game even if they are out of our league. Cars are prefered to women...they don't nag as much and respond to being touched...lol
