Nah, it's kinda sexy. Weird, but sexy. Though I probably wouldn't want to see pink hair on my 60 y/o doctor just as he's getting ready to carve me open. That's just wrong.

Offended? No. But I would not choose that person for any serious business. If they are solely in entertainment, I suppose it serves a purpose. For kids, I think that if they are ever going to experiment with their appearance in "wild" ways then this is the time to do it. But they must be aware that even their teachers and persons in authority are likely to make decisions that affect them in less than positive ways as a result of the hair color. There is definitely a cost to this sort of creativity.

Being offended over someone elses hair color or weight or general appearance would say more about the person who claims to be offended than it does the perceived "offender"

IE: Anyone who is offended by another person's appearance is the one with the problem.

That said, I believe it sets a person up to be stereotyped into a catagory by having hair like that. hehe.

nope! i used to put coloured extensions in my hair all the time! kool-aid red, platinum blond, different shades of blond, pink, and even blue! i wouldn't have my entire hair in the colour of the extensions. i would use them to highlight my hair. sort of like a splash of colour for the hair! i haven't done it for a while. but it was fun. i got asked A LOT of questions about it. people either really liked it, or really hated it. it did offend some folks because they didn't see the point in doing that to my hair. i'm a bit older now, so i've stopped.

People should be themselves and if they are offended by your expression of your personality, then they are being very thoughtless. I would only discourage it if it caused problems for you...being teased or humiliated by teachers and such. I think tattoos are not a good idea because they are hard to remove and also they carry the stigma of being low-class.

I would not wear it myself, i am not that brave, but it doesnt bother me on someone else. Hey so long as they are happy, who cares? And even as a parent I do buy it for my children. I can think of tons worse things for my teenage son to get into than matlaic blue hair dye.

I wonder about people that have such empty lives that the colour of someones hair really bothers them.

Why would anyone be offended? Are you so steeped in politcally correct Newspeak that you can't even form a coherent thought?

Not at all, I love it!!! People with unique hair are usually very self-assured and a lot of fun to be around...plus they usually are very good tippers at my restaurant!
