I was wondering if there's anybody else out there like me. There's a few people I hate from throughout my lifetime. I would like to be able to say I don't hate anybody. That's just not the case.
The person I have the most hate for is Bin Laden.

Don't worry about it as it is not abnormal to hate people. I have a couple on my hate list and unfortunately they are closer to home. I would not spit on my own sister if she was on fire as after supporting her and being there way and above what any normal sister would ask, I finally had to say to her I don't want to do this anymore. She is a very evil and bad person and the things she has done I could never forgive. My mother feels the same towards her and it has taken a lot for her own mother to feel this way. I think some people just deserve to be hated and the people who say to us 'but she is family' need to have lived through what we have before they should pass judgement. So as long as the hatred doesn't make you do things you shouldn't I believe everyone has the right to hate!

I think hate for Bin Laden is on the grand scale of things and you are certainly not alone. What he took part in wasn't against only you but against ALL Americans. The best thing would be if Bin Laden were to do a 180 degree turnabout and go from foe to friend. We are to "love" our enemies but in this case I think "help reform" might be a better term. In the personal, you to another person, (co worker, family member, neighbor, etc.). You can forgive but you might never forget what has taken place between you and that person. Time heals wounds. It doesn't do much good to hold a grudge or remain angry with someone. To remain aggravated could just cause further problems, increase stress, etc. that's a good way to develop ulcers.and who wants that? Maintaining anger with another could cause you limited time with that persons friends, limit where you might want to go and what you might want to do in an attempt to avoid that person or avoid a confrontation. Forgiving them puts the greater part of any problem on them. They would be the one with the "hang up" or problem and not you. Harboring anger won't change anything. The problem will still be there. Forgiving could open the door to a better relationship and defuse the problem to an extent. Forgive, you'll still remember, but forgive, and go on.

I feel life is too short to hate anyone. I do however dislike a few people. I was taught from a very young age tho, that love and hate are intertwined, so maybe thats why I cant hate people like Bin Laden, as I never have loved him?!?!

Hate is a strong emotion. Before you can hate someone, you need to know that someone. If you don't, it is difficult to 'hate' the person. I have come close to 'hating' someone when I was younger. The people I hated are people who did not agree with me, disagree outwardly with me, take my property - including my girl friend, or plainly, I don't like his/her face. However, through the years, this changed. I now don't 'hate' someone just because he/she is different from me. I now try to look at his/her perspective and then move on.

I consider the person you hate: Bin Laden and maybe Adolf Hitler. To me, they are just wicked and totally inhuman. Do I hate them....no, just pity. They were so misguided.

I was going to say no but, I think you're right about BinLaden. There are times when I feel like I hate certain people but, I try to get over it because hate eats away at a person and doesn't really affect your enemy that much. However, there are people I strongly dislike. We are all so different so it's impossible to like everyone.

There are people out there whom I passionately dislike, but I cannot say that I truly hate anyone.
