From where?

From Cambridge, take the T.

From Marlboro, take the commuter rail

From Springfield, MA, drive

From NYC, take the commuter flight

From LAX or London, fly

From another planet, I'd recommend rocket. But, if none's scheduled, go ahead an hitch.

Now if you're wondering how to get into the city from the airport, that's a whole different story. Fastest way is by cab, but the cheapest (and not a bad way to go) is by taking the subway (MBTA.com), or "T" as it's known throughout the Boston area.

Take #11 bus down in ground transportation to the subway station, hop on the Blue line inbound 4 stops to Gov't Center and you're in town!

Tada!

It really depends where you're coming from. From Providence, take the train.

From further away places like Detroit and Houston, I'd fly.

Well you didn't mention from where, but flying tends to be fastest. . . .
