on the one hand, keep in mind that although it doesn't matter right now, it will when you are both older. when he is 40, you will be 54. when you are 70, he will be only 56. assuming you live to be 80, he will be 66 at that time. if you both can live with that, then go for it.

also, be prepared for rude comments and questions from people when they find out about the age difference. if you are both able to deal with those without letting it get on your nerves, then yes, go for it.

and most of all, if you really love each other and can't stand the thought of being apart or being with anyone else, then go for it.

I am 27 and my husband is 40. There is 13 years between us and we have been married almost nine years. We get along very well and love each other very much. We have a 2 year old little boy and a 4 year old little girl. We are a happy family and consider ourselves to be NORMAL, although some people gasp at the age difference.Age is just a number, IF you are both adults. If you both love each other, stick with it and don't listen to anyone else. It is possible to be happy and live a long happy life together.

I do not know the statistics, but My Uncle is 2 years younger than my aunt, and I am 6 years younger than my wife. We are very happy. My Aunt and Uncle have been married for over 50 years and we have been together for 7.
