They shouldn't alter the timing (ie. it won't go from every 28 days to every 10), but they can make you bleed longer and/or more heavily. If your blood thinner is being properly dosed, though, it shouldn't be too bad.

I've been on blood thinners (coumadin) for 3 years and they have never affected my cycle. My hematologist and my general doc both told me that they won't and if anything changes it’s not the blood thinners and I should see the doc.
If your cycle's affected it's not the blood thinners it's something else, like diet or stress or maybe whatever you have that is causing you to be on blood thinners. Either way you should ask your hematologist s/he's the only one who can really tell you for sure.

Yes, depending on the "blood thinner" that you are taking - you could possibly have a heavier longer period.

I'm not sure about actual blood thinners but I do know that aspirin is suppose to thin the blood and it makes my period worse.
