Ok so what does it mean when a person who you don't particularly like asks to sit on your lap. This girl who I don't exactly like and who is probably straight, told me to take a book off my lap so that she could sit on me.

I did say no, but I just can't imagine WHY she'd do that. I've never seen her do that to anyone else...

If she's not your friend, she has no business on your lap. Just say no.

Um... just say no? You might not like her, but apparently she likes you. You can say no and move along. What's the big deal?
Can you honestly not think of any possible reason she would want to sit in your lap?
Also -- nobody here knows either you or this other person. Why would any of US know why she did that???

She could be trying to be nice, but then again I wouldn't like someone I didn't like sitting on my lap. Then again she could be gay.

It's not that strange. Sitting on someone's lap doesn't have to be sexual, but you obviously took it that way.
