The natural look is best - when mascara is so thick eyelashes look like SPIDER legs! And eyeliner like a PANDA! And blusher like a COCKATIEL!

I think just a couple of coats is usually sufficient. A really good way to avoid clumping is to apply from top to bottom, in a left-to-right motion. As you're applying your mascara, just move your brush from side to side until you get to the lash tips. It works really well. Also, I've heard that using clear mascara is a good way to achieve thick lashes without looking caked on.

I read in a fashion magazine that if you take your index finger and gently lift your eyelid and apply the mascara, it will allow you to get all the lashes and they will look long and full, by doing this, you can avoid yourself from having spider leg eyelashes. The term spider leg eyelashes comes from a person putting too much mascara on, to where it makes them look thick and clumpy.

whatever you do, make sure you dont overdo it! i knew a girl in high school whose eyelashes reminded me of spiders legs!!! it was so thick and fake loooking. so my point is, do not overdo it. simply put on a stroke or two on top lashes and skip the bottom. some people wait for it to dry to reapply another layer. dont do that either. just a stroke or two on top lashes. make sure you separate any clumps that stick together using a eyelash comb of even a earring with posts. also, blue mascara is a subtle change that can really make your eyes appear whiter and brighter. good luck with this!

Take your mascara wand. Brush it through your lashes while moving it slightly to the sides, as illustrated in this video (click on Mascara)

Try Three layers, let them dry but one at the time, then brush with a dry toothbrush.
