Cats - wild, tame, little, big and in between. They're beautiful, intelligent, independent and are very soothing when they purr. (Well, I don't know about the big cats, and they do smell a little gamy(sp?) so I probably wouldn't be close enough to find out.)

Rabbits are a pain to keep and they basically do nothing except eat, sleep, and relieve themselves. They are quite good to eat, though, if cooked correctly.
With cats and dogs its depends on how much time you have to spend. Cats are low maintenance, except for the cleaning of the litter box and the occasional hug or siting on your lap.
Dogs are high maintenance, require being walked 3 or 4 times a day, and usually require a license from your local city or county. Their vet bills tend to be higher as well. On the positive side, they can be trained to do "tricks". They are loyal friends and warm to snuggle up to at night.
Some breed of dog are also great burglar alarms and protectors.
The choice is yours. We have 2 cats and a dog.

I love cats, I love dogs,
But for some reason I find myself with a parrot (a rescued parrot) that I love so much it makes me want to cry if I think something bad could ever happen to her... I think about her when ever I'm not home - I think about her being in her cage waiting for me to come home and hold her and talk to her... It's really the most different kind of pet I have ever had... I feel like I have a baby with feathers...
I think I'm becoming a bird person.

Dogs and cats. I have 1 dog, Brutus and 1 cat, Whisper and the are the most awesome pets anyone would want to have.

I love dolphin!!! But I love the cats and kitten.. But my house are full house, lol cause I have 1 dog and 5 cats and 2 ferrets (male and Female)
But will getting more because babies will born soon! oh gosh!!
