I was teaching my special ed. middle school students at the time and my hubby called me from home totally freaked out. I didn't have access to a TV at the time, but an hour later the office sent around a memo detailing what was happening and told us to tell the students as gently as we could the events that were unfolding. I sat them all down and explained what was going on and one of them yelled out in the back "COOL!!" I broke down then and started crying.

I was in my apartemtn when my husband called me and said,"turn the TV on."
I thought imediatly,"We've been bombed."
I turned on the TV and saw the smoking towers and got a lump in my throat the size of a golf ball and started to cry.
