listen support and encourage positive change. everyone needs someone who will not judge them. the no judging of course is only in a good counsellor

They talk to people who 'abuse' substances. A.K.A. crack heads.
Basically, they tell them why they shouldn't do it. I really don't know, never been there before. But yes, it's probably like AA meetings, just different.

Depends I personally ran groups all different kinds, crafts groups therapy and sports . Took calls on the hot line .talked with the patients about there problems.I personally never had a drug problem .

They get down to the source of why you use.... What triggers you to use and setup steps to help you not use again (a.a. or n.a will be a big part of that too)
Most are real cool and have been through addicion themselves
