tools>internet options>delete cookies>delete files. Then click on clear history. These steps will clear out temporary files and clear the internet explorer search toolbar.

On the yahoo toolbar, left click on the little pencil to the left of the search space and choose clear search history.

To clear web address entries on the General tab in Internet Options click Clear History. To prevent web addresses and searches from being saved, in the internet explorer go to Tools menu - internet options===>content===>auto complete===>clear forms - and then check or uncheck the appropriate boxes depending on your preferences.

Yes, clearing your history will do that (Tools, Internet options) but
you can also highlight it and press 'delete' on your keyboard.

Same goes for the stuff that's been searched in search bars (yahoo).
