But I do not know how to find out more about it as the only possible thing I can get is an image through a photo if I do take a camera. Are there such specific search engines? Like searching birds/plants through their features/images etc?

Any search engine will bring you the information if you ask the right questions. Search each individually, also you can access the Audubon organization which deals in birds. They have a magazine and I'm sure a website.

You can try going to a local vet for the type of bird name, or just going to the library and asking the librarian for help. I'd do the librarian thing, they can help you a lot easier because they have all sorts of books there and ways to figure it out.
