Im almost sure they were rated games. Im looking to avoid cheating players who don't respect competition. Help anyone.

that's because some cheating smartass cant win the game right and 'knows your gonna kiss his *** and they are running a booter on you that boots in games 'theres alot of damn cheaters out there beware!

I must not have been a rated game, and you must have gotten the loss from another game. BEcause I have been playing yahoo chess for like a year and nobody can be booted from a table during a rated game

The game cannot be a rated game. you can never be booted from a rated game. However when you are booted from an unrated game you dont loose any rating points.
