There are many choices out there. Graphic artist and children's book writer (picture books) are two great choices. Animation artist is growing in demand as more animated movies are being produced and released. Comic book writer or cartoon writer would be a bit something different and interesting. On the traditional end, marketing field is always looking for a new perspective on life.

Graphic Design, Journalism, Advertising? A combination of the three? Start looking at course descriptions that use at least two of the skills. Declared majors can be changed. Have fun exploring. Other ideas: Technical Theater, Fashion Design, Web Design...trust me this last area needs people who can write well.

If you enjoy researching things as well and know a thing or two about website design/maintenance, would you consider freelance writing and editing (local short story contests, or editorials in local or campus papers to get you started), going to school for a formal journalism or creative writing program, or maybe even library science? Maybe interview some people in those fields and see if you can shadow them as well. The more info the better, right?

In what should you major? At a minimum, you should choose English as a minor. The ability to write well with clarity and grace will serve you greatly in many fields of study and employment. Given how poorly many people write, if you can polish your writing skills, you will stand out from others found in similar positions as yours.

I think Marketing will be your best bet.

My suggestion is that you go to college and stay undeclared for the first 2 years until something strikes you as being what you want to major in, and apply into that major then.
