As for games, for the little ones you can make a cute bean bag toss game of your own by using one of those science project boards. Cut wedges off the two folded sides and use the back to draw a halloween image like a pumpkin or cat, and cut out four or five holes some larger, some smaller. You can make your own bean bags by picking out a cute halloween print and making them just like you would tiny pillows, just fill with beans instead. (If you need help with sewing, ask a salesperson at your nearby fabric store).
For the older ones, you can make a box with a small hole they can stick their hands in and fill it with strange feeling things (fake fur, play doh, peeled grapes, etc) and let them reach in one by one and try to write down as many different things as they can, whoever gets the most right gets a prize.
And, you can combine the food and games for everyone- as in, make your own carmel apples (can be rolled in sprinkles or chocolate chips instead of nuts), or make your own pizza, decorate your own cupcake, etc. They even have food color markers now that you can use to color cookies. Kids of all ages love being able to control what goes on their food and what it looks like.
Have a great time!

Pin the Tail on the Cat
This game will keep Halloween party guests entertained when the novelty of spooking one another starts to wear off.
What You Need:
Black construction paper
Scissors
Two-sided tape or pushpin
Pencil
Decorating materials
Instructions:
1. Download the free patterns for the game. (Downloading requires Adobe Acrobat software.)
• Pin the Tail on the Cat pattern >>
• Download Adobe Acrobat >>
2. Trace the patterns. Cut out the printed version of the cat and tails, and use a pencil to transfer the shapes onto black construction paper. Make several tails for each guest. Cut the traced pattern out of the paper.
3. Decorate the cat and tails. Use your imagination. After the tails are decorated, place a pushpin or double-sided tape on the top of the tail.
4. How to play: Hang the cat on a bulletin board or wall. One at a time, players are blindfolded and given a cat's tail. Spin them around three times and let them loose. First person to put the tail where it belongs on the cat wins.
What You Need:
Glass bowl
Bubble Magic glue
Paintbrush
White or black tissue paper
Iridescent fine glitter
White or black paint marker
Acrylic spray sealer
Black or white tissue or crepe paper and contrasting markers
Pinking shears
Ruler
Instructions:
1. Squeeze Bubble Magic into the bowl and use a paintbrush to spread the glue to cover the inside of the bowl. Tear sections of tissue paper and lay them over the glue. Gently run your fingers over the back of the tissue to squeeze out any air bubbles. Brush more Bubble Magic over the tissue paper to firmly adhere it to the glass. Continue working in this manner until two-thirds of the glass is covered, randomly leaving clear openings on the bowl.
2. Shake glitter into the bowl and then cover the opening with your hand. Rotate the bowl with the other hand to distribute the glitter. While the glue is drying, draw question marks on the outside of the glass with a paint marker. If you make a mistake, you can wipe it off with paint thinner, clean the surface, and start again.
3. In a well-ventilated area, spray two to three coats of sealer inside the bowl to help secure the glitter. Let the sealer dry.
4. Cut 1/2x4-inch paper strips using pinking shears. Write fortunes on paper

Turn cleche games in to Halloween games;
ex. Pin the head on the head-less horse men
or spooky hopscotch
or another one is walking through a dark room with bare feet and stepping on wet noodels or feeling things.
Haunted House is cool too.
Isn't it a bit early for all of this?
