It varies from cell to cell and also varies the way you use your cell phone
eg here is a battery life schedule for Nokia 6600
-- Digital Talk Time up to 4 hours
-- Digital Standby Time up to 8 days
it means that it can be used constantly for 4 hrs with a call
and
if it is just being used in standby mode you can use it for 8 days
so it varies from the way you use and foremost the cell phone you are using.

counting on the type of telephone that you've, it takes everywhere from 12-36 hours to thoroughly charge. Like someone already suggested, in no way communicate on it even as it prices, and enable the battery thoroughly die before recharging back, that is going for a house telephone ( cordless) cellular telephone and any kind of battery that recharges it. Leaving it on the charger will continuously placed a favorable ion charge into the battery no longer letting it honestly connect to the detrimental part contained in the battery, causing a perfect malfunction. (lifeless BATTERY) i know someone also suggested that the sales people continuously allow you to know to go away it charged, yet thats the initial charge, once you get an total handset or once you get a sparkling battery. so so some distance as declaring THAT, I in no way tell people to do it at cutting-edge. sturdy success with the recent on the spot telephone!

We tell all costumers to charge it over night. and for best results to save the life of the battery only charge it when it completely dies.

I would double check with the manual, but I always say the first charge should be overnight, it will not harm it.
But always verify with the manual first.
