i have a problem with my monitor. it wont turn on, the light stays yellow. and my tower is beeping constantly. now my question is to those who know, does the ram has anything to do with the beeping and the monitor?

It could be your motherboard, I have the same problem with a Dell dimension 8200.

Beeps have many meanings. But RAM could cause it. If you put in a new video card, try the other plug, or double check to see if it is seated correctly.

By the way, I am assuming you are on a friends PC? lol

Look in your motherboard manual and see what the beeps mean. Most tell you on how many beeps what is wrong why it won't boot up. Could motherboard, RAM, CPU or videocard.

Video card dead or came loose. Usually the beeping means no display adapter present.

It may be a loose card inside...open case and make sure cards are seated.
there are many specific beep codes but you will need to know your BIOS type heres a list

How did you see this to write w/o a monitor..No you monitor is probably bad

it is an internal problem.

you may need a new one...best suggestion is to take it to a shop.
I had to get a new monitor once and had to get one fixed.

they do not last forever
