I know that the 2 opposing lawyers will be there, and a typist person, but who else? I have to do one tomorrow, it's not in the court house, it's at a lawyer's office, so it wont be a normal court room.

Has anyone dont this before and know?

THanks in advance.

The parties to the lawsuit and their lawyers are all entitled to be there, along with a court reporter (the typist) and/or a cameraperson, if it's a videotaped deposition.

Not everyone shows up for every deposition, so it's not easy to predict who will appear at yours...it largely depends on how critical your testimony is.

Generally, just the attorneys, and the person being deposed. If the deposition is not being recorded electronically, there will also be a typist/court reporter there. The parties may also be present.

Usually the two lawyers, the court reporter, and the deponent (you). Occasionally someone from the other side of the suit will be there too. These are usually done at either the court reporters office or the office of one of the lawyers.
