It's easy, First get a torrent client here http://www.bittorrent.com (click on Download Bittorrent)....
And then search for windows 2000 on sites like http://www.bittorrent.com
http://www.thepiratebay.org , http://www.torrentz.com , or http://www.torrentbox.com
Good Luck!
ps- When your going to download a torrent make sure it has more SEEDERS than leechers, it should work fine, and also the more peers the better.

I'm no expert but I don't think you can do this for free. Not sure why you have to change but even if you borrow someone else's 2000 disc you will only get use for 30 days if they have already used it and registered it on another computer. You may be able to upgrade your 98 to 98SE on the microsoft website though.

yes it's possible if you happen to find a good legitimate copy off the net (which is not legal) but you don't seem like the type to know the difference between MS Office and MS Windows! so i wouldn't recommend it.
You'll just have to buy it or find a friend who has it.

Although there are some bootleg sites out there with software to be downloaded and burned to a cd, for general purposes, no. You have to buy a Win 2k CD, and I strongly suggest more RAM.
