Catch the attackers, but if it meant that I had to occupy someone else's country to do it, then so be it!

Catch the attacker but it depends on what. If it is 9/11 just catch them but if it is something like pearl harbor catch the attacker and there allies.

Hm - I think I'd rather occupy a random country instead, and let the attackers roam free.

It makes perfect sense to me.

Why in the world would I want to live in the country that attacked
me. So they could attack me again? If you are referring to 9/11
the people who attack this country died in the attack. We are currently trying to catch the madman who was behind the
attacks(hopefully). You question doesn't make much sense.
Just what are you asking?

Pretend to attack the ones who attacked us but then realize that by pointing the finger at my asshole neighbor I can get him too and earn a house for free in the process..

Both if they are terrorist. I was in the Army for three years and I never killed anyone, but I could without any reservations. I am a Christian yet in a war situation I have no problem with the thought of killing the enemy.

It depends. I'm sure the correct answer is: If they are enemies of the US while a republican is in office then the correct answer is do nothing. If they are enemies (or someone not even a threat to us... cough.... Kosovo... cough) then all is fair game! Did I win???
