23 years ago it use to be 5 to 7 days no ifs no buts but these days it depends on a few things if this is your first baby they may want to make sure you have a few things right first changing nappies breast feeding and also if you and the baby is doing well I have heard any where from a few hours to a few days. If the hospital is really full and you and your baby is doing well they may want you to leave fairly fast tho. I would stay in for as long as I was comfortable tho. 5 years ago I stayed for 2 days and once the baby was well I could go home as he had a hard time at first. I had also had 4 other children so it really depends

depending on the hospital and how complicated it was. with my first, I stayed 3 days, but I had no idea what was going on, I was nervous, and I Was scared I wouldn't be a good mom, so they let me stay as long as I felt I needed (military hospital) my second, I went home as soon as they would sign my papers. (24 hours give or take)

it really depends on what your insurance covers, and how you are feeling. the usual is 24-48 hours with no complications and 3- 5 days with a c-section. with my first i stayed for 2 days, with my second i left asap. it was my first time away from my first! a little advice, take advantage of the nursery. easier said than done, but you will need your sleep for when you get home and the baby stays up all night!

It will depend on you, the baby and how the birth went. I've known plenty of women who were in the hospital under 24 hours!! In my case I had to have c-sections and I was in the hospital for four days each time. If things go smoothly I wouldn't plan on spending more than one day.

That all depends on if you have a vaginal birth or a cesarean birth, the health of you and your baby and your insurance.
I had a baby a week or so ago by vaginal birth and I was released from the hospital 48 hours later.

I had my daughter at 1:15 on a Thursday morning. I left the hospital around noon on Saturday. I delivered vaginally, so didn't have to stay as long as someone who had had a c-section.

If you have the baby in a hospital and everything goes good then 24 hours but if you have it at a maternity center with a mid-wife then 6-12 hours.

Take advantage of the hospital stay, the nurses will help care for your baby and you can get some seriously needed rest before those multiple nighttime feedings!

The average stay for a non-complicated delivery is 24 hours... If you had a C-section or other complications it could be from 48-72 hours. It just depends on what happens when you give birth
Good luck!! GO for the epidural!!!! lol
