I would like to obtain a list of homes that have been foreclosed in Charlotte, NC. Does anyone know if I can obtain a free list through a government agency, banks, etc. instead of purchasing a "list" from a company on the internet?

go to your local county clerks office or the register of deeds, they will direct you to the records.

Free lists are a waste of your time. By the time they are updated, the newest properties on the free site have already been swarmed by every agent, lawyer, and hard money lender in creation, and not a few real estate sharks. If the owners have told 239 prospective proposals "no" in the past three days, why should they tell you "yes" on attempt #240?

You can pay for the sites that get you the information in a timely fashion, or you can work with someone who does. Or you can waste your time.

Forclosed homes? You'd have to research this in the Records department of each city or county.

yes county offices print lists. You definitely need to ask about them because they don't advertise them. If you're affliated in real estate, you can get them from a title company

Check with the larger, local banks or credit unions in your area. They sometimes post them on their websites.
