Have you ever done this while watching a TV show? I did tonight while I had seinfeld on and I was in the kitchen and I got focused on the laugh track and it started to sound absurd. Have any of you out there done this? If you have did the laugh track start to iratate you or begin to seem quite ridiculous? I am curious about this!!!!

Yes, and it sometimes seems to be the same "people" laughing. Sometimes the laughtracks laugh uproariously when things really aren't all that funny. Then I start thinking, who lives like this? Who says hilarious 1-liners back & forth with their friends all day? Will & Grace isn't THAT funny ALL the time.

It's absurd because they've been using the same laugh tracks
for years...lots of them came from the 50's, and mostly from the original "I love Lucy" show. The brady bunch ones are the strangest. That's why its nice to watch 70's sitcoms thats were filmed in front of a live audience.

You don't realize how cheesy and obviuos they are until you listen to them. Once you start focusing they begin to get in the way of what you're watching. Especially bad are the 80's sitcom laugh track. Or the carol burnett show's real laugh tracks. Also very distracting.

No Banana there was nothing silly about the debt Jesus paid - Do you even think when they beat him and crucified him that he laughed. Right now the devil is laughing at you and all other unbelievers because he knows he's deceiving you into thinking it's all a lie. The bible says the devil himself fears and trembles. He that laughs last, laughs best - God Will Have the Last Laugh on satan. He is not willing that any should perish but all come to repentance. :D Banana, repent for your sins and ask God to forgive you while there is still time -- tick tock - tick tock - time is fastly fleeting away.

I have done this with some older tv shows and I agree. They seem very false once you pay attention and realize it's a total can of laughter. Don't like it...
