Most antivirus programs automatically scan the master boot file at startup and, though I have never used Norton Antivirus, I imagine it does the same.

Nevertheless, you can try another antivirus program. I recommend using BitDefender Free edition (http://www.bitdefender.com/site/Main/view/Download-Free-Products.html). The free edition does not have real time protection but you can run scans on demand. BitDefender Antivirus program was rated with the best detection and removal of viruses by PC World magazine. Might as well leave it there! Your just gonna go back to usin P2P sites and download some more malware! When you finally get a clu as to where it comes from, dump your system and reinstall windows. After you go through a reinstall and have to reload all your crap and lose some files not to mention spend a few days finding and installing drivers you might quit being a dummy!

Try rebooting into Safe mode. Use the F8 Key after startup, but JUST BEFORE the Starting Windows screen comes up. Pick SAFE MODE, using the arrow keys on your keyboard.

Then run your Antivirus software again.

Follow the procedure here and run your Norton program instead of the Anti-spyware programs she lists. The procedure is the important part. You can use any AV or AS programs using this procedure.

hi, perhaps you can try Norton to remove the virus. but you need to pay for the software.

i recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can disable all virus to run, because the virus can only run on IE.

besides, firefox can block any any poppus and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE. as you know, most of the virus is spread throught internet and webpage.

firefox is much smaller than IE, so i run faster than IE.

download firefox for free:
