Our money we send over to the Middle East props up these corrupt governments and the people of the Middle East do not like it. They blame us for their problems in their countries. Is that fair, no but that is a major reason they hate us, or at least one reason they hate us. We are going to have to be smarter about dealing with the Middle East, and one thing we can do is get going on fuel efficiency and alternative fuels for our power needs.
Why would that help our situation in the Middle East? It would help because by lowering our dependence on the Middle Eastern oil we could put them in a bad position via their own peoples demands on the governments in the Middle East.
All the governments over there as weak and inefficient. If we could lower our imports by just ten percent, they would probably be in terrible because of the lose on income.
Those governments would then start being much more friendly to us. And we can help them get out of the mess by encouraging them to help their people.

A small group of sick perverts with nothing better to do than to
try their luck at being airplane pilots with a death wish and to
impress a simple minded jacka** with a headful of rocks and
rubbish where a brain ought to be.
Also, to make a bold statement to the world what they stood for.
These same simple-minded throwbacks to the cavemen did
not realize but they also killed Muslims and Islamists in the crashes as well.
The hijackers disrepected Allah and must suffer in Hades
for violating Mohammed's laws. To say nothing of God's laws,
man's laws, and of the other great faiths of the world.

It was done to slap America in the face and kill as many people as physically possible in order to strike terror in the hearts of Americans. They did it. In that respect they were very successful. It has changed our whole lifestyle and our outlook on life here in the promise land of dreams. Will it happen again? Probably, as soon as they can figure out how to hit hard. At least as hard as they did last time. I'm sure they would like to make a path across the USA in the major cities. The Taliban has just struck a deal with Pakistan and we did nothing. Bush promised just after 9/11 that any nation who gave protection to terrorist would pay the ultimate price. He has not and we have not done anything that will make a difference. Fighting in the streets of Baghdad converts to their type of war. Hidden bombs while the main population stands by and watches and does nothing. We just made a peace promise to Pakistan knowing full well they have given way to the Taliban. What happened to the original threat by us to any nation allowing them in? We're fighting their war, not ours. We need to quit worrying about collateral damage and bomb the hell out of the area where suspected terrorist congregate. In other words, start fighting our war against them. As long as we fight their war, we will continue to loose.

They were opposed to the US having troops in the middle east and the US's unwavering support for Israel and the jews. It had nothing to do with them wanting to destroy our way of life. Monkey boy Bush is more interested in taking away our rights than the Islamists.
