The Clinton Library in Little Rock is a big tourist draw now. River Market neat the Library is tourist filled. There are 3 state capitols to visit and the Arkansas Art Center Museum. Hot Springs has hot baths, lakes and horse racing. Eureka Springs has Victorian houses, A Passion Play and lakes with fishing and boating. Lots of land and not many people. 4 seasons and lakes and rivers to fish and boat on.

the buffalo natl river is worth traveling to the state along with dozens of hiking trails and the views in the ouachita mtns in the western part of the state are great. BUT...skip hot springs and little rock. hot springs is nothing but covered springs and a semi-interesting historic bathhouse row (but the tacky tourist traps and crumbling downtown make it drab), little rock has nothing noteworthy except for the clinton library (and restaurant, shopping and nightlife scene is very limited for a city). and the eastern and southern parts of the states have absolutely nothing to see worth the time and hassle of getting there. go west for the outdoor beauty of the hills, not the cities. i didnt see many tourist $$$ being spent. im guessing most of it is in the form of camping/hunting $$$ that is pretty low key not the hotel, dining, shopping $$$.

I stayed in Hope, Arkansas not too long ago and it was really boring! The only thing we paid for was five bucks to go see Clinton's childhood home and bought a keychain there.
