I personally don't agree with teenagers any younger than 18 having sex, but I'm pretty old school.

A kid? You've got to be kidding?! Too early if you can't make a committment, or can't handle the unpredictable outcomes. It's too early if you can't support the child you made. It's too early if you cannot love your partner through thick and thin. It's too early if you're thinking sex is just fun and games...at its best sex is the intimate part of a committed relatiionship.

personally, I don't think you should be able to have sex until you are able to move out of your parents home and live on your own without their help. That would show a little maturity at least, and if something came up then the person would most likely be able to handle any situation that comes up.
I was 17 when I moved out, but I also joined the air force.
If I had to pick a specific age, it would be no earlier than 18.

There are consequences that come with having sex. If you are mature enough for those consequences then you are ready to have sex. Think, are you ready to deal with STD's, some STD's are life long (no cure, this includes AIDS). Babies are another consequence they are precious but, they are also a lot of work and; once you are a mom/dad you will be one for life, nothing can change that. You could also risk loosing your good reputation, boys are not really interested in YOU they are really interested in what you are willing to do for them. You have the rest of your life to have sex, now you should be a kid and enjoy what little you have left. It goes by so fast in hind site, I do not regret waiting. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made in all of my life.

Kids shouldn't have sex. No child under the age of 18 should have sex, and honestly, it would be better for them to wait until they are older than 18. Studies have shown that women who wait until the age of 25 live longer than those who have sex younger, but I don't know of any such studies on men. Sex is better left for committed relationships or marriage.

People always say you may get pregnant or get a STD but they never tell you that after you have sex with someone then the cuddling and affectionate times almost always lead to sex. There wont be holding hands or cuddling on the sofa watching a movie without one of you wanting it to lead to sex. It is best to leave sex to those married or in a commited relationship. Most people under 25 dont think that their opinions change in the future. You may think you love this person and will be with them forever and no one else but things change.

I believe that waiting until marriage is the best decision regarding sex. Kids should not be having sex, the risks are too great for major life-altering things to happen, such as pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases. Sex is best between a married man and woman who are faithful and committed to each other.

If I could go back I would have waited till I got married. I got pregnant at 18 and so i really missed out on alot of things. Before you do anything think of the consequences. I think a kid shouldnt be doing anything because your not mature enough.

The day u don't have to ask such a question on the internet should be the day that u reached maturity & thats when u should think of having sex. Hopefully that should be when u r 18 & above.
