Vinatieri would receive a $3.5 million signing bonus and $7.5 million over the first three years of the contract. The total length of the contract was unclear, though it could be five years.

losing Edgerrin James will be much more costly than gaining Vinatieri. I don't have confidence in the Colts success at all in the post season. They just can't seem to win games that they're supposed to. I think they need to adopt a more run oriented offense. But with Domanick Rhodes as their starting running back, and fanbase hungry to see Peyton throw for another 6,000 yards, I doubt that will be the case.

The salary/remuneration for a particular job is the market value for a particular profession and designation at the city/town where the office is located. Job postings at websites like Monster, Yahoo HotJobs and Careerbuilder carry information about salaries. The Govt Dept of Labor, (www.bls.gov) Bureau of statistics has information about median salaries for different professions and details of additional compensation offered. Other online resources are salary.com and payscale. Your salary will also depend on your educational qualification and how you handle your career.
