I now found out who started the trend. Thanks, by the way. I have been doing various research on skating books, magazines such as American Skating World, Patinage, and even covers of Ice Capades and Holiday on Ice on the internet itself. To tell you the truth, this skating fashion has been in full effect for quite a long time. Now I need to know how did it started and when did it begun.

Cool question. I have never thought about this, but they simply appeared and now it's a trend. I think I first saw it in a Holidays on Ice, but it wasn't really tights, more like leggings.
