This car has a lot of power! Alot more than I really need for city driving but the deal was too good to turn down. The frame is in excellent shape and the engine still has a long way to go at only 111 000 km. Any tips for city driving with a power car like this?

As previously stated, change the oil every 3000 miles; use a good grade of gasoline; and make sure the tire pressure is where it should be. No doubt you have power! Congrats on the 'bird! If you live in California, watch-out, I may be in the lane next to you, and with my 1981 Trans am, don't even ask for a challenge, you will see tail lights! LOL Just kidding, enjoy the car, you have joined a very elite class of drivers!

I know your happy and all to have a new car, but please don't get a big ego. The truth is that was one of the worst V8's made it recent history, next to maybe a crossfire. Your motor is the tuned-port maybe? I'm not big on 80's GMs.

I had to consider how wrong this car may be for you if you think it is powerfull. Noise doesn't equal horsepower, friend! It honestly takes a little work to get even 200 hp out of them. Brand new they made 210-230 at the motor. Take 15% off that to see what *might* get to the ground! The 1/4 mile times (new in 1987) are about the same as present day civic's, and a little slower than my hyundai =(

I'm done with this rant, I have to rain on atleast on parade a day I guess, tuff luck it was yours =)

Light on the gas, take longer trips (to make sure you get everytrhing fully warmed up). I also recommend Mobil1 synthetic oil, but that's me...
