I wonder if it would be wise to just keep them for future refrences oppose to turning them over for many dollars less than what I paid?Agree or not?

The campus bookstore buys them back for pennies, then resells them for a nearly new cost. If that same book is used in the class again you would probably make more money selling them on your own, but for a little cheaper than what the bookstore is charging.

I'm fortunate that my Electronics instructor chooses books that can be used over multiple semesters, so my 150 dollar book prorates to about 50 per semester. I save them for reference. One thing you might consider is buying online, either used or seconds. Seconds may only have a bent cover corner, and can be a lot less expensive! For example I found my algebra book at an Amazon bookseller for 25 dollars for a new second; the college bookstore price was about 130 new, and 90 used. A brand new book with unbent corners will have one or more bent corners within a day or two, for sure!

Books that pertain to your field of study are good to keep for references, but if the book is just going to set around unused, you may as well get what you can out of it.

Sometimes you can do better reselling them to another student. The bookstores get a big mark-up. You may sell them for more than you would get from the bookstore and the other student still pay less than for a bookstore used book. You can both be winners.

$400, i paid in the mid 500s for mine this semester. $525 for 14 weeks of books. I know when you trade them in you get like $10. Maybe you can sell them on ebay or to a popular book store company.

You paid 400 dollars for them, now pay 25 dollars to any geek like my brother to scan it and this way you could sell the original and keep the e-book wich it would ocupie less space.

keep the books if you are ever forseeably going to open the covers again....

sell them on if you are not going to ever open them again..

the purpose of a book is to be read and reread.... if you arent going to use them again for reference or for interest then please let someone else have them..
